I need appoinment to take my driving test
We received a letter from FLHSMV to my wife's name telling her we need to provide information about our cars' insurance to avoid suspension of her license. This car in the letter was no longer registered in Florida so we went to the Pembroke Pines Driver's license office to show them we already surrendered the FL tag for this car and cancelled the registration. All appointments were full, so we went as a walk in today, Nov 12, 2024. The office opened at 8 am today. We arrived there at 6.30 am. I counted the people, and we were the 105th person in the line. An officer came to the gate and started screaming at people to make the line straight which is understandable, but she was being very rude while telling people that. I went up to her and asked how many people they would take today as a walk-in. She said she wouldn't tell me. I said what is the problem with telling me how many people they would take so we wouldn't have to wait in line for no reason. Her answer was "It ain't nobody's business but ours". This is of course unacceptable as she is there getting paid with our taxes to serve us, the people. We waited there about 1 hour and they started taking people in but after a while she closed the gate again and told the rest of the people in line, "no more walk-in for today and to come back Saturday", as she walked away from the gate. I have never seen a complete disregard of people's times and dignity. I hope someone from the management of that office reads this and makes sure this never happens again.
