Renew Registration

You must renew your vehicle registration with your local auto services department before it expires. Depending on where you reside, this may be referred to as the DMV, SOS, DOR, MVD, or something else.

Regardless of whether you have a car, truck, motorbike, electric car, off-road vehicle, or trailer, you will most likely need to complete the following:

• Complete and sign your renewal form.
• Include your driver's license number as well as the license plate number of your car.
• To renew your car registration, pay the appropriate cost.
• Pass a vehicle inspection, smog test, or emissions test.
• Send your paperwork and payment to the DMV, SOS, DOR, or MVD.

When you complete renewing your registration, you will receive a new registration card as well as a sticker for your license plate.
